Day 26 Falmouth, Jamaica.

16th December

We hired one of these Pedicabs to take us on a tour of Falmouth. Below are a some photos of the the streets.

This square is call the Water Square. In 1798 a circular stone resevoir was built here and fed via a series of aqueducts from the Martha Brae River. In 1954 the resevoir was replace by this small circular garden and fountain.

All the vendors use these chassis for their business. The steering wheel at the left controls the wheels at the front. These are simple ones. Others build small stalls on them.

Falmouth courthouse.

St. Peters Anglican Church. Was built in 1795 on land donated by Elizabeth Barrett Browning's grandfather in 1771.

Day 27 Georgetown, Grand Cayman.

17th December

Today we are in Georgetown, Grand Cayman. Along with four other cruise ships. Ours is the little one on the right. Georgetown is the capital of the Cayman Islands.

This is a place for holidays and shopping so I only took a couple of photos for the record.

Elmslie Memorial Church founded by Rev.James Elmslie in 1846 and still in use.

Day 28 Sea Day.

18th December

When we originally booked this cruise we were to visit Cuba. This as close as we came after the ports of call was changed.

The weather changed after the last photo.

The spray reached up to our deck.

And blotted our view!

Day 29 Key West, Florida.

19th December

Not one of our best days. We were supposed to see immigration at 08:15. We did not see them till 12:55. By then the rain had stopped for a while. We chose to do the Hopon Hopoff Trolley tour. This is the Begining.

Another holiday place. These are some snaps from the tour. Just to give a feel of the place.

Day 30 Debarkation.

20th December

Here we are in Fort Lauderdale airport waiting for our United flight to Houston and then Air New Zealand to Auckland.

And this is the view from the airport of the ships in the harbour. We have just come off one of them.

In flight WIFI on this flight. Takeoff, goodbye America. 14 hours till we land in Auckland.
