23rd September

After checking in we caught the open topped sightseeing bus out side the hostel.

24th September

The Royal Cresent Bath. Thirty terraced houses built in a sweeping crescent. 1767-1774.

While we awaited for the river cruise we could see what is under the street.

Leicester

25th September

Today we spent the day in Leicester visiting relatives.

Edinburgh

27th September

This morning we went to Leith docks to see the Britannia.

Edinburgh Castle, Just inside the gate.

It was raining when we started our tour inside the castle.

The Crown Jewels of Scotland are kept in this building.

York

28th September

After checking into the hostel in York we went into town.
The boys haveing a late lunch/early dinner.

In the late afternoon the narrow streets in York were dark. The low sun shining down a side steet illuminates a building.

29th September

After checking out of the hostel we walked along the Ouse riverbank to the Jorvik Viking Centre.

At the end of our tour the boys dressed up in these Viking costumes for a photo.

30th September
