Amsterdam
16th August
We arrived early this morning in Amsterdam. Our hotel room was not ready so we took a canal tour. Colleen in the boat.

17th August
This is Alkmaar. Today we are going to the Commonwealth War Graves in Bergen. We came here by train and then had to take a local bus to Bergen.

Keil Canal (Germany)
20th August
Keil Canal Locks at Brunsbuttel.
Entering the lock. Unlike the Panama canal the Keil canal is lower than sealevel so we go down into the canal.
The mast has been lowered so we can pass under bridges on the canal.

Sassnitz (Germany)
21st August

HMS Otus. Commissioned in 1963. Decommissioned in the early 1990s and later purchased by a German entrepreneur as a floating naval museum.

Up in the town, across the rooftops, we saw our little ship in front of the big Princess Cruises ship.
